The minute a foreign nation accuses him of a crime his own friends and leaders, from his perspective, believe them over his own word despite the ridiculousness of the accusations and send him to prison for an indefinite amount of time.
The guy literally just got done saving the entire village from Pain, and thought he had finally gained the acknowledgement and trust from everyone as was always his true dream and goal. What really irked me and made me glad it wasn't canon was just how fucked up the whole thing was from Naruto's perspective. There any fics that explore how fucked up the Leaf treated Naruto in the Blood Prison movie?
